| Southern Switches Corporation was founded in 1964
in Dahlonega Georgia. Southern’s first products were Indak blower
switches. Southern moved to our current location in 1968. We have
expanded our building several times. It is now 43,000
square feet in size, and we employ 135 people. Total production is
approximately 175,000 units each week. |
 |
| Blower switches are still a large part of
Southern’s output. Other products include blower speed resistors,
vacuum valves for climate control, glove box switch/lamp assemblies,
fuse panels, and various accessory switches for automotive and lawn and
garden applications.
In 1990 Southern received the prestigious Q1 award from Ford, and in
1998 became QS 9000 certified. |
